I think it’s a positive move. The plot of kids’ movie Frozen II by Disney is all about the climate crisis. Of course, other films have also covered the issues, but it’s good to see a mainstream brand talking about it. (And, interestingly, the movie heroes don’t battle villains, instead, they fight to save their world). I haven’t seen it ,so I don’t know if it’s a good film or not, but hopefully it will raise awareness.

Greta Thunberg talks at DavosShe’s right.  Swedish activist Greta Thunberg says the school strikes and the massive climate protests around the world aren’t working. Carbon emissions have increased by 4% – but we need to drastically DEcrease emissions to fight the climate crisis. She’d love school strikers to be able to go back to school – but governments aren’t listening, despite (mostly) saying they agree they need to act.

I don’t go to Yoga classes, so I wasn’t aware, but recently there’s been quite a lot of media coverage about some Yoga classes crossing the line. What line? Unwanted touching. Yes, you’re there to learn how to do the poses properly, but some women report feeling very uncomfortable with how much they are touched to place them into the correct position. If you are made to feel uncomfortable, complain. Immediately. Don’t be embarrassed – you should never be made to feel uncomfortable when you are in a class.

This puts coastal cities around the world at greater risk of flooding and storm surges. Meanwhile, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India and China are said to be blocking progress at the COP25 climate talks in Madrid, Spain by not agreeing to measures to combat climate change.

The world’s first fully-electric commercial flight took off from Vancouver in Canada. It was a 6-passenger DHC-2 seaplane.
