Non-Toxic Ways – How To Clean a Bathroom Safely
Of course it’s important to clean a bathroom. But do you know what chemicals lurk in normal commercial bathroom cleaning products?
There are more than 150 chemicals found in the average American home – and they can negatively impact your health.
Many of these chemicals are found in bathroom cleaning products that you buy at the supermarket. These chemicals have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer and physiological disorders.
But the good news is that you DON’T have to use them to clean your bathroom.
Instead, you can use simple, natural and safe products.
This slide show below will show you how to clean a bathroom while ditching the chemicals. (For easy reference, the details are also summarized in the text below the slides).
How To Clean a Bathroom – Grapefruit and Salt for the Tub or Shower
Nasty rings or rust don’t stand a chance against a halved grapefruit with coarse salt on top and sprinkled over the bathtub or shower. Scrub and then rinse.
How To Clean a Bathroom – Baking Soda and Vinegar for Tiles
Mix baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice and salt for an easy-to-use and safe tile cleaner. Add dishwashing liquid if you really want, but your mixture is more green and eco friendly without it. Add a few drops of eeesential oil for fragrance if you wish.
How To Clean a Bathroom – Baking Soda as Air Freshener
Those store-bought air “freshener” sprays do nothing more than add chemicals to the air you breathe – plus they smell horribly artificial.
The easiest possible air freshener is to simply add 10-20 drops of your favourite essential oil to water in a spray bottle. Then spray the room to make it smell great!
Alternatively, use a jar with holes in the top. Add essential oil to baking powder, and just keep it in the bathroom – you don’t even need to spray!
Summary
When you know how to clean your bathroom with fresh, natural safe products that are easy to find, you’ll never want to go back to those nasty chemical options ever again!
You’ll know you’re protecting the health of you and your loved ones, and you’re helping to protect the planet too – and that’s very green and ecofriendly.
