Organic Lawn Care

Organic Lawn Care is Better

organic lawn care makes it safe for kids
Lawns make great playgrounds

Many of us prefer to eat organic food – but do you use organic lawn care products on your lawn?

Have you ever wondered what goes into the pesticides and fertilizers put onto your lawn?

Your lawn may look great, but if you’re using non-organic products,

  • What is it costing in terms of health for you, your kids and your pets?
  • What’s it costing the environment in terms of air and water pollution, greenhouse gases and soil micro-organisms?

Want to green your lawn?

If you use a company to look after your lawn, make sure they use organic methods. Check exactly what products they use including weedkillers and pesticides.

Don’t just assume they’re using organic methods – most companies don’t.

You’ll definitely want organic lawn care if you have children playing on your lawn.

  • I am pro organic too and I really found your infographic to be very useful. I even prefer it than the usual blog content because it is easier to understand. Anyway, glad that there is an organic approach to lawn care too.

    • Hi Robert, I’m glad you liked the infographic! I see you are involved with lawn care and I’d really love to see more companies offering organic solutions. Of course you need to minimise the time you spend on each customer’s lawn while still providing an excellent service, and chemical-based solutions are very easy. But it would be really great to offer an organic service too, you could differentiate your company in that way – “green” is of interest to many people, especially those with children who want to avoid chemicals in the gardens where kids play. Thanks for your comment!

  • Those of us who believe in a organic lifestyle are in a minority due to the fact that most people either don’t care or just don’t know any better. We all could have healthier lives if more info was put out in the main stream and profit took a back seat. Keep on truckin Clare!

    • “If profit took a back seat” – ah, there’s the rub! Still, I think it’s OK for any business to make a fair profit, and it’s always good to vote with our wallets and support sustainable and eco friendly businesses. I agree, many people don’t know and/or care, and that’s a large part of the problem. That’s why this website is here!
      Thanks for your comment!

  • Clare,

    Great infographic!

The county I live in–Montgomery County–is currently debating on eliminating toxic lawn pesticide use in Montgomery County on both public and private properties. Clare if you could please support it and share with your colleagues, family, and friends. Here is the link for more information:
