ReUse Water (InfoGraphic)

Key Points from this Infographic:

It’s really important to make more efficient use of our dwindling water supplies. Using drinking water to wash and flush toilets is wasteful.

We can do better!

  • Extreme weather will mean uncertain water supplies for a large percentage of our population – and not only in developing countries.
  • Generating electricity is water intensive. Treated wastewater instead of fresh water could be used.  Treated waste water cold also be used for crops and food production.
  • At home and in offices we can use rainwater to flush toilets and water gardens. Capture it from rooftops.
  • Some areas in Sweden use water up to 5 times!

Think about how you can reduce your water use at home and in the office.

Just because it comes out of the tap easily, doesn’t mean it’s going to last forever!

  • Some interesting information on the info-graphic from the Worldbank. I see that not only has Namibia discovered an Aquifier but very recently a massive one has been discovered in northern Kenya – curiously and like Namibia, in one of the driest regions.
