The journal “Body Image” reports that getting a massage can make you feel better about your body. Endorphins (“feel good” hormones) are released when someone touches your skin.

In fact, aside from a massage, simply being touched by someone you care about automatically makes you feel better about yourself. (Your mind assumes that since someone is touching you, they must be happy with your body).

It’s one of the reasons why you feel so good when you get a hug.

Exercise Regularly

They make you feel good about your body, your mind and everything going on in your life.

Regular exercise (especially if it’s outdoors in the fresh air) is a simple way to boost your self confidence.

Watch Your Posture

Stand and sit up straight. Pull your shoulders back, keep your chin up and don’t slouch.

(It’s what your mother (and/or the military) always told you).

Interestingly, good posture boosts your self image almost instantly.

Try striking a power pose with your hands on your hips and legs apart, slightly wider than your shoulders – you can’t help but feel good about yourself.

The International Journal of Cosmetic Science agrees – splashing on a little perfume or cologne gives you a psychological boost of well-being.

(Of course, you’ll want to choose lovely natural, eco friendly aromas, often made from pure essential oils or flower waters, rather than synthetic perfumes made from man-made artificial chemicals).

The same thing happens when you groom yourself in any way – you get a confidence boost!
