Is Your City at Risk?
A study from the University of Florida lists the US cities most at risk of severe water shortages. Interestingly, the study looked not only at rivers, lakes and dams which provide water to cities, but also water that cities import and store (often ignored by other studies).
The cities most at risk are
- in arid regions,
- have low water storage per capita, and/or
- share water sources with multiple other cities
