Eco-Friendly Products – Small – Glass Bottles with Pump
If you make your own cleaning solutions (vinegar is great!), or soaps or body lotions, or essential oil sprays, you need to store them. And it’s great if you can have good-looking storage!
I like these amber glass bottles.
- They’re made from glass which is infinitely recyclable.
- I like the feel of glass – it’s nice and solid. And of course it’s very safe – it washes well and there’s no BPA or other nasties in it.
- Apart from looking good, the amber colour of the glass means that the contents inside are protected from the sun’s UV rays, so your products last longer.
- The bottles come with a pump (sadly, it’s made of plastic, but it’s reusable) so the bottles are perfect for soaps and lotions.
- The 8-oz (230 ml) capacity is a good size – you won’t need to keep re-filling them all the time.

Eco-Friendly Products – Small – Gift Wrap That Grows!
Here’s an interesting concept. It’s gift wrap that’s made from 100% recycled paper, which is good.
But what’s different about it, is that it contains hundreds of wildflower seeds!
- You wrap up your gifts – natural raffia and gift cards are included in the box, so it’s nice and easy.
- Then, you tell the gift receiver that the wrapping is part of the gift!
They just loosely bury the paper and voila – wildflowers! Lovely!

Eco-Friendly Products – Small – Mosquito Repelling Incense
I hate mosquitoes (who doesn’t?) but they love me! There are lots of ways to try to repel them, but sadly, DEET works well too and lasts longer (DEET is lousy for the environment).
So I was delighted to find these incense sticks.
- They’re made from bamboo (very eco-friendly as it’s a renewable resource).
- They do NOT use DEET
- They contain Thai herbs, lemongrass and citronella, which we all know repel insects (and smell great!).
- When you burn the bamboo stick, the smoke also helps to keep flying insects away.
- No electricity is needed.
- Use them in the garden, by the pool, at a barbecue, on a picnic, boating, camping, deck dining and family gatherings.
- Each stick lasts about one-and-a-half hours which is great.
