Sustainable and Eco Friendly Home Decor – It’s the Best Way!
Your home is your sanctuary. You’ve adapted it to suit your lifestyle and your needs. And of course, for your health (and the health of the planet), you want it to be non-toxic, fresh and comfortable. And that means not just natural cleaning materials, but also good furniture – eco friendly home decor.
So it makes sense that when you need to buy something for your home, you make sure it’s green and eco friendly.
And I love it when companies agree!
That’s why I’m delighted to tell you about home furniture retailer Arhaus, who have partnered with American Forests. They want to help promote a greener future, and their #ArhausOurWorld campaign is helping to rebuild forests across America. Last year, more than 25,000 trees were planted in West Virginia, Michigan, Minnesota and Missouri.
So, if you need some eco friendly home decor, read on for my top tips on what to buy – and see the infographic with some great tips (and yes, the EcoExpert contributed to it).
The Best Eco Friendly Home Decor at Arhaus
Here are some of my favorites:
- Look for sofas that are covered in eco friendly organic materials. Many of the sofas at Arhaus have frames that are built in America from solid, sustainably-sourced hardwood, springs that are made from recycled steel, and seats that are cushioned by dense eco-friendly foam.
- For a beautiful natural dining experience, look for wooden tables – some made from magnificent petrified wood. Because it’s natural wood, each table is unique! Many other tables are made from reclaimed materials and are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative – very green!
